Branding and a possible intertextual reference.

'Studded Roses' - False Eyelashes.














We decided that creating a product that represented the target audience would be mainly something into with cosmetic items, due to the mainly female audience. We felt that false eyelashes would be a good way of representing the band, they could also be used as an intertextual reference to our group in the music video aswell, maybe a shot of one of the girls getting ready and this product being on the dressing table, allowing that advertisement for them and the girl group.

Creating the logo for the band

The Finished Logo...

I feel that the typography of our logo is simple but easy to understand as the text represents the bands name through image. E.g, the rose represented the roses and the studs along the text representing the studded roses, which could also show the groups main ideology of and main topic of the songs, 'love', which is a connotation of the rose.

The process...

When creating the logo, we decided to keep the logo in which we created on our moodboard, however we felt that we needed to change the design just slightly. The way in which we decided to do this was to add small studs to the text as the typography to represent the studs within the text.
